The Schools
Interoperability Framework is an industry initiative designed to maintain
continuity across different platforms, while providing the SIF Implementation
Specification to define neutral rules for data sharing. Over 2,200 school
districts, state departments of education, and K-12 organizations are members
of the SIF Association.
SchoolCenter and SIF have
a richly integrated history. Three key leaders within our organization have
been active board members.

Executive Officer, Mary McCaffrey, served as an Executive Board Member from
2004 to 2007.

and current Board of Directors member, Andrew White, has served as President on
the SIF Executive Board of Directors since 2003.

SchoolCenter has recently joined forces with SimplyBox, a Web 2.0
application. SimplyBox enhances student/teacher interaction by allowing
users to capture, visually organize, and share content from the web or
their own desktop in a safe, secure environment. SimplyBox is just the
first of many partnerships SchoolCenter plans on establishing to
increase our Web 2.0 technology suite.
